Appliances are being accepted only at the Newton site, the County Highway
Garage, on the Saturdays the Newton site is open. The appliances are
to be placed in a dumpster reserved for appliances only. The
appliances collected in it are recycled. Either the compressor must be
removed or the freon line opened to show freon has been properly removed
from refrigerators, freezers, air conditioner, etc. Appliances are not
being accepted at the other collection sites.
One Dumpster at the

The metal
collected in it is recycled.
A drop-off recycle container accepting aluminum cans, clear glass bottles,
tin cans, plastic milk jugs, plastic soap jugs, and plastic soda bottles is
also available at the
No yard waste (grass, leaves, and limbs) will be accepted at the dumpster
since these items were banned from Illinois landfill effective July 1, 1990.
No tires asbestos materials will be accepted.
